Why the AI does not do the maths.
HisaabFlow uses a language model to read what you typed. It is not allowed near the arithmetic. This is why, and where the line is.

A language model is very good at reading. You can type "paid 3000 for rent", or "chai 200", or a sentence your own mother would need a moment with, and it works out what you meant.
It is also happy to do arithmetic with total confidence and get it wrong.
For a chat about films that is fine. For money it is not. A balance that is nearly right is wrong, and a split that is off by a rupee is an argument waiting for the end of the month.
The line
So there is a line in HisaabFlow, and it does not move.
- Reading is the model's job. What you typed, what the amount is, which category it sounds like.
- Numbers are the code's job. Every total, every limit, every split and every balance is ordinary arithmetic.
The Guru is the voice on top. It can be dry about your third biryani. It cannot change what the biryani cost.
When it cannot find the amount
It asks. If you text an expense with no number in it, it does not pick a likely one. It asks you what it cost.
In a Room it is stricter, because a number there moves money between people. A bill with no amount is refused, in these words:
I will not guess a number that moves money.
Why say this out loud
Because "AI" on a money app should make you ask one question: which part? If the answer is the part that adds things up, close the app.
Here the answer is the part that reads. What is left to spend is your salary, less everything you have logged since payday. The daily limit is what is left, divided by the days until payday. You could check both with a pencil. That is the point.
You can try the reading part now. The demo chat saves nothing and cannot see your money.
